The North Atlantic Blues Festival is an incredible two-day event held each July in Rockland, Maine. The festival features an array of national blues performers and is held at a venue that overlooks beautiful Rockland Harbor. When you attend the festival, you can expect to enjoy two full days of live music on the main stage, as well as a Club Crawl Saturday night, and a plethora of food, beverage and craft vendors set up on Main Street.

The North Atlantic Blues Festival

The 2015 North Atlantic Blues Festival will be held July 11-12. A stage will be set up in The Public Landing on Main Street where ticket holders will be able to set up a chair or beach blanket to sit back, relax and enjoy the music. The festival gates open daily at 9 a.m. and the music begins at 11 a.m. Free, live music will also be performed on Main Street.

Saturday evening, Main Street will be closed to traffic for the Club Crawl. Concert-goers 21 and older with a wristband can go in any of the participating bars and restaurants to listen to top regional blues performers. Sixteen locations will be participating in the Club Crawl, including Trade Winds, The Pearl, Waterworks and Myrtle Street Tavern. The Venue: The Public Landing in Rockland

The North Atlantic Blues Festival takes place at The Public Landing in Rockland, a beautiful waterside park overlooking the Rockland Harbor. Bands set up with the harbor as their backdrop, giving festival-goers something incredible to listen to, as well as see, during the festival. The Public Landing is located at 275 Main Street. On-street parking is available throughout town, however, there is no on-site parking at the venue itself.

Tickets may be purchased online, in advance at ticket outlets, or at the gate (CASH ONLY) the day of the event. Click here for a list of the local ticket outlets. Advance tickets are available until July 6, 2015.

What to bring to the North Atlantic Blues Festival

This music event is held rain or shine, so pack sunscreen and a hat, as well as a rain jacket and an umbrella, just in case! The festival gates open daily at 9 a.m. and the music begins at 11 a.m., so plan to come early to stake out a good spot. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair for your comfort. Chairs are not permitted if they have a canopy. Sun umbrellas are not allowed, however, there is a tent set up on the grounds if you need to catch a little shade. Coolers are not allowed, however there are plenty of food and beverage vendors on Main Street to provide you with the sustenance you’ll need.
